I figured with the Thanksgiving this week I would do a Thankful post. The top things I am thankful for and try not to take advantage of.
1. My family. I don't think that any other thing should be first on my list. My cute 3 kids that sometimes drive me crazy and a husband that does the same. I am so grateful for them all.
2. My house to keep me warm. After much effort, trial, tears (many), sweat, agony, pain, blisters, smiles and many more things. I am so grateful to have a house to come home to. To pull into my garage and unload my groceries right into my kitchen. For a warm place to put my kids to bed on a stormy night.
3. The church. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father. I am so amazed at the blessings that I have be given. I always have room to improve and hopefully will with each passing day. The church is true no matter where you live or how well you know the people you are sitting by.
4. Friends. Even though my family lives extremely close, especially now, my friends are who I turn to the most. I have 3 close friends right now that mean more to me than anything. We craft, laugh, cry, cook and play together..They can always tell when I am having a bad day, laugh at my "lesbian" hair cuts, tell me I look cute when I am feeling ugly, laugh at me when I am not using my brain to it's fullest potential and help me with how to be a better mom.
5. A car. Even though our Ford causes us problems and the Maxima isn't the cutest at least they run and I don't worry about running to the store, or taking Dawson to school. I sometimes wish we had a really nice car and all the other toys but a family is more important that the car of my dreams in the driveway.
6. Food in my pantry. I am grateful for the pantry that I have and that it is full of food. So many people can't go to the cupboards and just pick something off the shelf to eat. I don't' worry about having something to feed my kids, or something to keep a baby content for a couple of minutes. I don't worry if my kids will have something to eat for dinner and I know they will never go to bed hungry.
7. Extended family. Tyler's family is great. They give us there advice and don't get upset if we don't take it. Tyler has 2 brothers that live pretty close and so do his parents. We can get together for a football game, or just Sunday dinner and it is always interesting. My family all lives close. Anytime you need anything, I call and they all come running. There are lots of them so moving was really helpful. My whole family is strong in the church and it is such a blessing. I am the youngest and when I got married it was so nice to have all of my family in the temple with me. Family is so important, and it is so nice to have a brother and sisters that help me with my life. Parents that would do anything for you, give you everything they have and love me unconditionally.
8. Education. I was one of those dumb people that did not finish my degree before I became a mom. I am hoping to start school again this winter or summer. Can't decide. I am glad that there are schools around that I can continue my education even though I am a 30 year old mom.
9. My husband. I all ready mentioned my family, but Tyler needs his very own number. Tyler and I have been together for 13 years. We were juniors in High school when we started dating. Dated for 2 years, he left on his mission, and came home and we were married. We have defiantly had our share of difficulty, fights, miss-communications. All that married life will bring. However, I know that he is there for me, and loves me no matter what. He keeps me sane, and helps me with a new way of thinking. He is an amazing father, the kids just love and adore him. He is an amazing cook also. I only wish he would cook dinner all the time. Maybe when he retires...
10. My health. I have a friend I went to High school with that was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a couple of years ago. I am so grateful that I have no major diseases, not a lot of trips to the hospital and don't know a lot of doctors because of frequent visits. . I don't worry about health insurance canceling me because of something my body has decided to infect me with. I don't worry about not waking up in the morning to send my kids off to school. I don't worry about dieing before my kids are raised. Hopefully my Heavenly Father continues to bless me with my situation.
Well there you have it. My top 10 most Thankful things. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving week and take some time to remember what your grateful for..

We made it
So we made it. House is built, boxes are in the garbage (well most of them)and life is getting back to normal. We are LOVING our new house. So much more room than our last one, and I have empty cupboards (my dream). We have only been to the ward once but it is a big ward. 100 youth, 100 primary kids, and a lot of houses. However, not a lot of attendance. We have appreciated all of the help we got with this house. If you all need an electrician, I must recommend Jeremy Brown. He is amazing, and does some pretty tricky cool stuff. He works hard, late and helps with ANYTHING you need. He stayed late several times to help out. However I think he thinks it's funny to see how many days in a row he can send you to Home Depot. The sales people ther kept asking me how the house was coming and offered me a bed in back.. Ya, I went that much. Anyway. I have planned our Open house for December 5th. 10-2. I know it is a busy time a year but the Saturday after Thanksgiving wouldn't work because it is the BIGGEST game of the year... BYU vs. UTAH!!!!! So put it on your calendars, December 5th 10-12. I will send out invitations with address and all info... However everybody is invited, so tell all who you want. I have a list of who I would think would come to send invitation to, but really all is invited. I will have some treats so maybe them will help encourage some....:)

MIA
So I know that my updates lately are few and far between. I do however have a real good reason. My house takes up so much of my time. I leave in the morning when I take Dawson to school at a little after 8 and I don't get home until about 9. At least on the weekdays and weekends are always A LOT later. I don't think that Tyler has been home before midnight in 4 weeks. So YEA we are almost done. Here is just a taste of the week so far. Monday morning we headed out the door at 8:05 dropped Dawson off at school and headed right to Lowes to pick up the cook top for the granite people to put it in. Returned a bunch of stuff and got the cook top and a few other things. Headed to the house to drop off the thing and lo and behold they cut my granite wrong in the upstairs bathroom. It was kind of there fault and kind of ours so if we wanted to change it we would have to pay $1000. At this point in the house we are TIRED of spending money so I have to take apart some of my cabinets and jimmyrig a new thing. Anyways, still looks great. After him, run Ashlyn to pre-school and head back to the house because on the way the granite called me and told me there was another problem. Drop her off and head back out there. And once again they cut my island granite wrong. This however was their fault so they are fixing it at no cost. Then HVAC show up and there is a leak on one of the lines so they have to cut holes.... IN MY BRAND NEW PAINTED SHEETROCK.... After 5 holes in Ashlyn's closet they couldn't find it. One hole in the bonus room and a 5 foot tall hole in my pantry they finally find it. Window well cover lady decided not to show up for some reason so fight with here about needing them NOW instead of 2 weeks since it has all ready been 2 weeks. The carpet place sold my carpet so I had to pick out another one. Luckily it is pretty much the exact same so not many tears were shed. I have to stop.... It is making me mad again. All of that before 10:30 in the morning. The rest of the day didn't' get any better. My phone battery was completely run out by 11:30. Anyway today went much better. We cleaned it all, carpet gets started tomorrow, appliances are installed, plumbers are done and electrician was going to finish tonight but cabinet people is slowing poor Jeremy up.... So yea, needless to say I have been a little busy. I am planning on having an open house, I don't know when but in the next couple of weeks. Maybe even the week after Thanksgiving. Between football games, unpacking, moving, cleaning and finishing building a house I will do it as soon as possible.... Hopefully everyone will come and YES Char I will have food.....

Just wondering
So the house is coming along and before we moved away from the neighborhood every body kept telling us to have an open house when we are done and moved in. So here is the question, and only honesty here. Would you really come if I had one? It probably wouldn't be until the weekend before Thanksgiving. So honestly if I had an open house would you come or not really. I won't be offended either way.. Thanks for the help.

Confused
So I tried to be tricky Ricky (I mean Mikki) and change the background but now it looks funny. Elizabeth has helped me before but I have forgotten what I need to do to fix it. The middle is a different background than that back. Make sense... Anyway, I followed the direction 5 times and yet here we are.. Help me in my brain freeze moment please.. Thanks to you all..

House so far
So here are a couple of pictures as of today. The framers "should" be done on Monday. Plumbing is almost done, HVAC starts Tuesday and Electrical starts Thursday. So Hopefully we can get the 4-way in about 2 weeks. I hope I hope I hope. Things are stressful, apartment life sucks, and it isn't my favorite right now, but I have to just keep reminding myself that it is temporary. We are still on for hoping to be in before Halloween. It might be Halloween and it might be a couple days after but hopefully right there. More pictures will follow soon, once more things are done that are exciting enough to post. You don't really want to see the HVAC do you????? Probably not.. Ok, do explanations or pictures. Obviously the first is outside, the second is the family room, and the third is in the loft and in the background is the bonus room and Ashlyn's room...
